The eligibility requirements differ between countries, based on the priorities of our funding and government partners. Check the application page for the program closest to you for details.

Many of the training programs we fund are valued at over $10,000. But if you’re selected as a Forte student, your cost are fully covered. We work with foundations and investors to fund your training, in partnership with governments. Our mission is to help governments support retraining programs at the scale required, without burdening people with typical student debt.

Most of the training takes between 3 months and 12 months, so that you have enough time to properly learn in-demand skills, but can also get a good-paying job you love quickly.

The structure of training depends on the specific training provider you get matched with. We try to provide both full-time and part-time options, with a mix of in-person training and online learning (delivered by live, real instructors). If you have specific requirements, please let us know during the application process as it will help us match you with a suitable provider.

We’re backed by some of the most recognisable names in impact investment. Each project is funded by a different mix of investors based on the geography and demographic focus of the project. All investors are accredited and pass our rigorous due diligence checks, including AML and KYC checks.
